Customer approached with a sprocket that was used to drive a slat chain system. Due to the difficulty of getting the correct sprocket the set-up used was 2 individual sprockets fitted with bearings which were kept at a set distance using a spacer ring. These were then all locked into place with circlips. Issues arose with the current set up as dirt and oil got in between the spacer and the bearings causing the bearings to degrade much more quickly than they should. With the ability and machinery available at AED Rollers we were able to redesign the two sprockets and spacer into a single duplex sprocket eliminating the issues that were present before.
